From years of fundraising in Ireland and abroad, we have developed a detailed knowledge of major donor prospects and their giving interests. One of the key reasons that all our campaigns have exceeded their financial goals is because of the focus we give to securing major gifts, including repeat major gifts from wealthy philanthropists, companies and trusts.
For some prospects, the preparation before ‘making the ask’ and securing the gift will be short; for others, lengthy. However, getting the preparation right at this high level is critical. By identifying and cultivating donors, and working with committees of stakeholders who have the capacity to support at this major gift level, we have been able to secure funding – often six- and seven-figure gifts – that has brought transformational change for our clients.
